Lori Loucakis, LMT
Lori studied at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in Boulder, Colorado, regarded as one of the best massage schools in the world. She graduated in June of 2002. Lori loves being a massage therapist and bringing soothing touch, peace and joy into peoples' hectic lives. Over the past fifteen years she has helped relieve stress, tension and pain for thousands of individuals. She is certified as a Nurturing the Mother® Pregnancy Massage Therapist by Claire Marie Miller Seminars, one of the nation's leaders in pregnancy massage education. She was also voted the "Best Massage Therapist in the Flathead" in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Her goal is to bring the many benefits of massage therapy to the Flathead community. She believes that by nurturing ourselves, our families, friends and neighbors, we strengthen our communities and make the world a better place.
During her free time, Lori loves to be active and outdoors. When she is not working, you will find her hiking, swimming, practicing yoga, snowboarding or soaking in a hot springs with her husband, John, and her son, Xander. She loves Montana and feels blessed to be able to live in such a beautiful place.
John Loucakis, LMT
John studied at the Massage Training Institute in Kalispell, Montana where he received his certification in Neuromuscular Therapy. He has also received 150 hours of training in Polarity Therapy. Before studying massage and Polarity Therapy, John was a carpenter. He decided to make such a drastic change in jobs because he wanted to have a career that was better for his health. John loves working with his hands and has a natural talent for massage. He is fascinated with the human body and how it works, and is very interested in how to maintain good health. He believes that massage is a powerful therapy for improving health and wellness. John is so happy that he made the decision to change his career because he really enjoys being able to help other people feel great again.
When not working, John enjoys riding his mountain bike, snowboarding, hiking, backpacking, packrafting, camping, hunting, and doing pretty much anything outdoors.
Penny R. Capps, LMT
Penny studied at the Potomac Massage Training Institute in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. She is board certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB #035031-00) and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Penny is a certified Sports Massage Therapist and vetted into the US Olympic Committee’s Volunteer Medical Program and USA Weightlifting Sports Medical Team. As such, she is invited to work at Olympics, World Championships and other elite venues. She is also the massage therapist for our Flathead Roller Derby Team, the Big Mountain Misfits! Her clientele is not limited to athletes. She is a member of the Daybreak Geriatric Massage Institute and enjoys working with seniors. Penny is a certified Active Release Techniques practitioner and is trained in Lymphatic Drainage Therapy. These techniques give her a large toolbox for addressing soft tissue injuries from headaches to arthritis. Penny is also a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. This background helps her understand clients’ sports injuries, as well as recommend exercises to address musculoskeletal issues that clients present during sessions.
Her Masters in Engineering (she worked for the Army) fuels her interest in the science behind wellness.
